A September Weekend Getaway in Paris

Bonsoir! A little update from me, this time with photos back from my September weekend getaway to Paris. Pretty shortly after receiving my job offer and being informed that I have a month until the start date, I started planning out my time and squeezing in a bit of travel where I could. I decided on Slovenia and France. Or Ljubljana and Paris, respectively. It was exactly what I craved before settling down in Luxembourg come October.

I visited one of my close friends who is currently studying in Paris. We didn’t have anything special planned, just to catch up and hang out. We took some walks around the beautiful Parisian streets, ate some seriously good food and drank delicious red wine. It was parfait. 🥰We also accidentally ended up doing a bit of celebrity spotting outside the CELINE fashion show. A personal highlight was seeing Anna Dello Russo and Carla Bruni in the flesh. I loved that we managed to catch a tiny part of Paris Fashion Week in action. It’d be a dream to attend one of these shows one day. One day.

We ended up going to a little house party followed by a (much needed) brunch at Kitchen in the 3rd arrondissement – highly recommend to check it out! It was full of people. So much so, that we had to wait approximately 20-30 minutes to be seated. I guess we weren’t the only bright ones with the idea to cure their hangovers with brunch. 😉Another highly recommended place is Café de Flore. It’s famous for being Sartré’s cafe of choice. Truth be told, the prices match the legacy. It is definitely overpriced but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Their hot chocolate and croque monsieur is next level. All in all, a productive weekend getaway in Paris.

Do you follow Fashion Month? If so, which shows do you look forward to seeing the most?
