Dress and belt from Asos/ Shoes and bag from Chanel/ Sunglasses from Seafolly
This outfit is way back from August when I was still visiting Roniette. Since she lives so close to Monaco and the South of France, we decided to do a day trip to Monaco and it didn’t disappoint. It was pretty much exactly how I imagined it to be: super small, wealthy and luxurious. I didn’t expect it to be as crammed with tourists as it was but I guess that’s not surprising considering we visited during one of the busiest months of the year, haha! 😉 We grabbed a quick lunch at Brasserie du Cafe de Paris which is right by the famous Casino. I really recommend it – the food was good and the service impeccable. Obviously, it was overpriced given its proximity to the casino and because, frankly, everything is overpriced in Monaco but it’s still one of the more reasonably priced restaurants in Monte Carlo. Before lunch, we did a bit of shopping at Le Metropole Shopping Center. Nothing major, just a few beauty bits and bobs from Sephora. We bought a bunch of face masks to do for later on in the evening. Sephora has a great range of them and they really do have masks for everything: face, under eyes, hands, feet, lips! We basically did the whole lot and we looked t e r r i f y i n g. Our skin, on the other hand, loved us for it. On the topic of shopping, Monaco has this ability to make you feel like it’s totally acceptable to spend a small fortune on clothes. I’ll be the first to admit that I nearly bought a ridiculously overpriced cap. Do I need it? No. Do I want it? Big yes. Thankfully, Roniette talked some sense into me and I ended up not purchasing it. Perhaps recognising that the cap is a want, not a need, is a sign that I’m slowly morphing into an adult? Maybe not though, as it’s still on my mind though. 😉
You might remember this outfit from a previous post, as I wore something almost identical. Like I said, I’m not afraid to rewear outfits because that’s my real life. Once I like something, I’ll wear it over and over and over again. This applies to everything, especially when it comes to eating the same food. I’m a creature of habit – what can I say? I will try my best to not do this too frequently on my blog just so I’m providing you with fresh, new content. But no promises.
Just as predicted, I’ve been slacking with my blog as soon as I moved back to England… I’ve really missed posting on here and I’ll try my best to be as consistent as possible from now on. It’s been so weird coming back to university after having been away in Australia for so long! There are so many new faces in the lecture theatre that I don’t recognise anymore. I really miss having study breaks with some of my best course mates who have already graduated… 🙁 Luckily, we still keep in touch and are planning to reunite soon so all is not lost! Apart from that, I’ve been keeping myself super busy with my studies, student society commitments, employer presentations and, of course, socialising. I am in charge of organising the Law Ball so my time and energy have been significantly consumed by that. Don’t get me wrong – I love staying busy and I especially love planning events. I’m so excited to be interviewing fantastic candidates who have applied to be on my subcommittee. There’s no way I could plan such a big event single-handedly so I cannot wait to meet my new team! I have a feeling that this year will truly be a balancing act, with many highs and lows. But I’m ready for it.
Do you repeat outfits you like? Or do you frown upon it?
