Um Plateau

Gilet from Zara/ Blouse from Primark/ Jeans from Dr.Denim/ Shoes from Adidas/ Bag from Alexander Wang

Here’s what I wore last Friday when I met up with Sisi for lunch at Um Plateau. It was both of our first times visiting the restaurant but we really liked it! The restaurant itself is super classy and the interior is well thought-out. I didn’t manage to take a photo of our mains but you can see how generous the portions are for entrées. Now I’ll be honest with you, I didn’t like what I ordered – the ‘Burratina’ entrée – so I wouldn’t recommend it. The presentation was nice but I’ve had much better burrata dishes. However, I highly recommend ordering the Vegetable Lasagna at Um Plateau – so delicious! It was nice seeing Sisi again and catching up on our travels. She was telling me about her safari experience in South Africa and it sounded amazing. Definitely on my bucket list!

It’s become a lot chillier in Luxembourg recently which I’m super bummed out about… I want endless summer, please and thank you! Even though I love dressing in the fall as I get to experiment with layering and, frankly, I’ve worn all my summer clothes to death, I don’t want to give up my flowy dresses and skirts quite yet. I guess now it’s back to jeans, boots and jackets. Friday was quite chilly so I opted for a favourite of mine – my Zara gilet. It’s so cosy! I love wearing gilets in this transitional time as it keeps you warm in exactly the right way! Does that even make sense? I have another gilet in my closet which looks a bit more formal and is navy blue but I find it hard to style it without looking overly preppy. It kind of gives me horseriding vibes… without the horse. New idea: locate a horse so I could take the ultimate preppy girl outfit photo, haha! You heard it here first.

Also, I resurrected this bag from the depths of my closet!!! This was my first love when it comes to designer bags. I remember girls obsessing over this bag in 2011 and I, too, was one of them. I hate to admit it but I even had the fake ‘inspired’ version of it from Does anyone remember that online shop? It used to be the place to shop from, especially if you were into Wow, this really brings back a lot of memories! All because of a bag… I need to stuff a pillow or something inside it so that it gets its shape back a little bit though. You can tell from the photos that it’s a bit deflated.

Next week I’m moving back to England to continue and finish my studies at university. I’m super excited! I can’t wait to reunite with some friends that I haven’t seen since the end of second year… so over 14 months!? I’m also looking forward to moving in with my best friend and decorating our place super nicely. Overall, getting into a routine will be good for me. BUT. I know this upcoming year will be one of the most stressful for me. I’m really going to push myself and work hard to achieve the best grade possible for graduation. I’m already pretty busy planning Law Ball for the university’s Law Society and that’s only the beginning – I still have to recruit a subcommittee and do so much more work. Don’t get me wrong, I thrive off planning big social events. However, it’s definitely very time-consuming and is a lot more work than one would think. Fitting in job applications, volunteer work and somewhat of a social life will definitely not be easy. But bring it on, fourth year! *cries quietly in the distance*

Is there anything you’re particularly excited about in the coming months?
